If you belong to one of the clubs, then look at what they have to offer. Although I moved mine from a club offering to Caravan Guard. By quoting your membership of this forum group you can get a discount.
I am sure others will answer this posting with ore detailed advice, but you need to make sure you have good security for caravan and do a careful check on the value of accessories etc.

There are several caravan insurances to choose from if you do a Goggle search but I have always used either 'Caravan Guard' or 'Saga' mainly. However, you need read the company reviews whichever you choose especially where claims have been made but judging from previous posts on this forum, the one to avoid is 'E&L' (Equity & Livestock) caravan insurance as their claims procedure has been far from efficient.

Used E&L(Equine and Livestock) years ago, were good up to a point then binned them off.

I've just taken out cover with Ripe Caravans. They gave a quote which was far lower than anyone else's. What they will be like in the event of a claim, I have no idea and hope I don't have to find out. I got them on a caravan insurance comparison site.

We went with ripe too. When we had a caravan before always used Caravan Guard, but they were twice the price of Ripe, even when we store at a Gold Storage facility. My husband spoke to someone on the phone at Ripe and they were really helpful. Just hope as you say, if anything goes wrong they pay up!

You have just saved me the bother as I was going to look them up as my insurance is due very soon. Not much point as my caravan is twice their limit.

I've recently tried to make a claim with Saga caravan insurance for a front window that was impacted by a stone. After several attempts of contacting their claims department each one said that they were not trained to deal with my claim and that my details would be passed on to another department. Each time I was told that either professionals or management would contact me but nobody ever does. I even wrote to their head office in Folkestone, Kent two weeks ago and they haven't acknowledged my claim either. The last attempt was to contact the phone push button option 1 to take out new insurance and BINGO I managed to talk to a real person. Amazingly after giving them my policy number she couldn't find me on their system even though they take direct debit payments for caravan insurance each month. This week I have wrote to the Insurance ombudsman to intervene as Saga customer service is far below the standard expected. I await a reply from the Ombudsman in due course.
I'm changing to Caravan Guard in October when my current policy expires as Saga doesn't deserve my business considering that I have car insurance and home & contents insurance with them too.

My mom lived in a Park home and made a claim with her insurer Towergate. They sent an assessor sent the people to fix the problem, they did a good job, made good the decor and cleaned up after themselves. All hassle free. We insure our Caravan and Folding camper with them.
