However, I don't want to put you off having this properly checked out and ending up in a few months time with a serious problem so I would suggest you try to get a second opinion. Resealing the rails isn't that big a job if that is where the problem lies. If damp is showing up in the top lockers then it's either the rails or possibly a roof vent.

He did say that it was all round the top of the rails and said it was unusual as it is the opposite side to where the awning goes. He tried under the seats and nothing triggered the meter. To reseal the rail, would I have to remove it first to clean it up? Cheers for your advice

Hi

I had a 1.6 Peugeot 307 and I used ot to tow my firts caravan. A 12ft Sprite 500kg and the car was c*** at towing it even empty. Our first trip was local and only a 30 min drive. By the time we arrived there was all sorts of funny smells fron the car. We then had to make the decision of selling our car or selling the caravan. In the end the caravan won and we bought a bigger car (and a bigger caravan) With regards to the tow bar we had one fitted for us. I cant be 100% sure but I think we paid about £100 supply and fit. Towsure do a Peugeot 307 towbar for about half the price Peugeot wanted for one.

Hope this helps
