thanks again for the replys, your advice is much appreciated, 10k is way out fo our range, £1500 for our first i think is what i can justify as converting from Tents im not jumping in head first this time.
as regards additional costs storage is not a problem as there is room for around 6 cars on my drive  (due to weird building of close we live on) i must admit i have not looked at insurance yet, as i said this is our first ! is there some special road fund you have to pay ? etc etc.
seen a couple so far and the first one stunk of something that resembled my motorcross gear that i forgot to wash and left in the garage for 4 weeks ! so quickly left there.
second one was an Abbey GTS 4 berth, but the attitude of the owner was " here it is take it or leave it" was not willing to show me where everything went ie explained this was out first but he really was not interested. sorry but im old school as in if i want to sell something i am only to happy to explain everything about the item.
so again 80 mile round trip for nothing but an eye opener.
ah well back on autotrader now to see whats next.
keep you all posted
thanks again all, seems a great site.
Kirk & lisa

ps: for the above post thanks, you have not dampened our spirits at all so dont panic there, regards tow bar all brand new fitted when bought the Shogun Pinin with twin electrics, no probs for storage either as ample room at house.
thanks for your advice anyway, alweays good to get all the angles covered
