Also consider the spacelite. We have a Ultima 260 and just was not big enough with 2 kids. Spacelite is large, and takes only 20odd minsutes to put up.
I am still not convinced having something hanging off my awning rail in transit is a good idea, also I have looked at the pics and on everyone it is half covering a window, personally not for me.

Just for your information I ordered the 260 from Waudbys on line along with a matching groundsheet and the order arrived three days later. The service was superb. The prices were very competative as well the 260 was £130.00.
If you are looking for something give them a look.
We do not have the inner tent but I would think it could be installed at either end as the awning is symmetrical and the "hanging rings" also look to be the same.
The Ultima doesn't stay attached - slides in like any other porch awning, so you can position it where you like. We have a 260 and it doesn't half-cover any window - fits lovely to cover door and kitchen window. I can put ours up single-handed in about half an hour (if it's not windy - takes a bit longer with a good breeze!). Great little awning.

We are thinking of getting the 260 for our Bailey Ranger, we have got a full awning but want something we can use if we go away just for a weekend. How easy is it really to put up? Also does anyone know if the inner that you can get for it can be hung either side?

we have the 390 for our Ranger and you can put the inner tent either end of the awning - it's great - loads of room - not sure how big the 260 is though once the inner tent is up??

We bought the 260 from Swindon Caravan Centre in January for 89 pounds and its great. I would have preferred the 390 with inner tent as we have a dog and two children and the extra space could be used for their kit but the 390 would not fit our van as it was too wide and would have attached on the van awning rail curves. But i agree with others they are easy to put up and for extra rainproofing i sprayed all the seams with fabisil
Thanks to those who replyed to my query. Now that I have decided that the Ultima 260 is what we want I want to get it as soon as possible, but Fat Belly wants to wait, saying we can't afford it at the moment. Its his birthday in August so I think I might buy it for him for his birthday if he doesn't let me get it before!
My original comments re "hanging off the rail" were regarding the Spacelite which was the posting directly above mine. We are more than happy with the Ultima.
We have the 390 plus the inner tent and are really happy with them.
Unfortunately last week while in Cornwall the weather was really bad with really strong winds and rain. We came back to the van at 10.30 one evening and the awning was flat to the caravan, this caused one of the poles to crack. Does anyone know where we can get a replacement.
Although the pole has cracked, when checking the rest of the awning we are pleased to say that the rest of it is still intact even though it had had a bit of a battering.
Is it just one section sixbees? If so, there should have been a spare section of flexi-pole in the pole bag. To use it, you need to remove the shock-cording from the affected pole, replace the damaged section and re-thread the shock-cord (unless you want to mess about linking the pole-sections together every time!)
It's 3 poles but in the same section, so would still need extra ones, thought they might sell them in camping shops, but haven't had time to go and look yet.
Sounds quite simple to replace them though, thanks.
I just received my awning and the info pack tells you that if there are replacements required contact Sunnflair Ltd, Chelmsford, CM3 5XJ, or to view there site their 'e' address is www.sunnflair.com. Happy hunting.
We love our Ultima 390 too- but no matter what we try we can't get it to fit tight to the side of the van. The problem is worse on some pitches than others and I know its to do with the slope of the pitch but has anyone got any advice on this? One weekend when it was really breezy it kept us awake vibrating and flapping against the van
Having just received the 260 I erected it against the van to see how it all worked before taking it out into the wide blue yonder and making a complete prat of myself whilst on a site with others looking on. I found that it was easy to put up but the one thing that was not easy was fitting it against the van to make it reasonably tight fitting. Perhaps practice makes perfect. The storage site is not perfectly flat perhaps that was the problem but then again not all sites are flat anyway.
Is this a problem with them and is there an easy remedy.
