i also use ultraseal in the bike, and would'nt ride without it .

but it would have been useless in this case , a quick blow out ,ultraseal would'nt seal it.

stu

I suppose the ultimate towards protection could be a combination of both:

Using a sealing medium such as Ultraseal for preventing deflation from piercing coupled  with Tyron bands to stop the tyre rims from dropping into the wheel rims centre groove.

Perhaps there is also a need ( if not in fact already being done ) for caravan makers to spec up wheels to be manufactured without a centre groove into which the inner tyre rims can drop.

good driving! (hope it's not put you off) don't know about you but i always inform the police if there is anything dodgy lying about the carriageway - you know - stray cones, wood, bricks, animals etc...Q. why is it called a near miss and not a near hit?

Hope you manage to get back into it.

It would be a real shame if not.

Good luck

my husbands not a big fan of towing at the best of times and we had 2 seperate blow outs last year within weeks of each other on the A1 i think it was it blew my frying pan onto the motorway from the kitchen cupboard we got a right old shock so its made hub even worse about towing i was more concerned about getting the frying pan back wondering "how will i fry me bacon" he just looked with hatred.very scary experience indeed.
