Got new Lunar caravan at the beginning of June 07 and no CRiS documentation yet. So e-mailed HPI/CRiS and was informed that they have had no paperwork from dealer yet. When I first got the van, with my caravan paperwork/manuals etc., was included unsigned PDI paperwork, which a copy of, should have been sent back to Lunar. I sent this back to the dealer in the hope that this would be filled in and sent to Lunar. Also I had to request warranty book, which was sent undated and stamped. Again this had to be sent back for them to complete.
Although you are paying new car prices for new caravans the after sales service is very primitive.
I would rather deal with the paperwork than trust the dealer, and having to chase after the dealer all the time doen't inspire me about warranty issues that could come up.
CRiS on their e-mail said once the paperwork was with them the CRiS documents would be sent out quickly.

our car stayed upright, but the caravan remained hitched, and overtook us!! I saw it go over in the wing mirror, (I was the passenger). It really was a life stopping moment, and I remember thinking "if there is a lorry behind us, we are dead." But there wasn't, and we weren't. The whole episode stayed with us for some time, and we "sat" on the insurance money because we were unsure whether we could tow again. We chose a completely different caravan to make it easier to forget. We love caravanning, we love the relaxed lifestyle. But we still are very careful about towing in the wind. There was nothing we could do at the time to prevent our accident, it was just that, a freak accident. Life is like that, always expect the unexpected. It has made us look at life differently. Caravan towing is no more dangerous than driving, these things happen, and the insurance company said overturning caravans are not that common given the number of people who caravan. That said, we always pick up on road reports when a caravan goes over, and our hearts go out to them. And we always get a wind report!! Go back to it when you are ready, you will never forget, but it is worth it.
