We had planned to go to the in law's static in Mid Wales for New Year but may change this as we are getting new tourer in a couple of weeks - wooohooo!!!! If we dont use the static then we will defo take the van away!

 A very long time ago I use to go on Caravan Club rallies with my parents over the Christmas period and had a wonderful time. As someone has already said they are usually held in school grounds, using school hall with caterers, a DJ etc. lots of people of all different ages. We use to have fancy dress competitions etc. some of the rallies were held at private schools so we had full use of their indoor pool etc.

I'm sure they must still run these rallies.

We spent Christmas in our 'van for the first time last year and loved it!

Our family has grown up so we were not needed at home, we enjoyed it so much we are doing it again this year, 22nd-29th Dec, CC at Sandringham!

I get so peed off with all the commercialisation around xmas time that I'm seriuosly thinking of holing up in a field until its all over!

On a more serious note, if anyone can recommend a caravan club site that is open over christmas and suitable for our tribe (three kids 8,4 and 2) please let me know.
