We wash the outside and coat the van with Mr Fenwicks winter whatsit.  We remove foodstuffs and high value items such as TV etc and the bedding.  Try and put all the seating upright, to allow air to circulate.  Drain all the water from everywhere its stored.  Milton the water barrels.  Clean all the food shelves, microwave, fridge and freezer and give a wipe with antibacterial spray stuff, leave the fridge and freezer doors open.  Leave all cupboards and doors open where possible.

We always leave the curtains and blinds open, that way anyone thinking about breaking in can see there's nothing to steal and the odd bit of sunshine we do get through the winter is enough to keep the place warm and damp free without fading the upholstery
