Did you always have the BP Gaslight, and if not what did you do with your original gas bottles.  We had to pay a rental fee for our Calor Propane gas when we got them from new.  Did you pay a rental fee for the BP ones as well.

We have only just changed over to BP Gaslight.  Yes, we did have to pay a one-off rental fee of £25 on the bottle.  The saving in cost of gas, compared with Calor, will offset this cost and then it will be all gain.

We have used Propane (red bottle) for years as it burns much fiercer and is better if you happen to have cooker and heater or other appliance on together.

However, we changed to BP lightweight gas with this new caravan to help keep the nose weight down, and as a result have three Red bottles going spare if anybody uses propane.  In fact one bottle (6kg) is full and never been used.
