do you happen to know the size for awning? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi FredsGirl,
If you want a full awning, measure from the ground at the front of the van around the awning rail to the ground at the back of the van. This will give you the measurement for your awning.
If you want a porch awning, measure from the ground to the highest point of your caravan.
When you buy your awning a measurement will be given in the supporting information. Just make sure that the two measurements agree and you will be fine.

Congratulations on your new van, we changed from camping to tin tenting this year, you'll be amazed how quickly you get used to what goes where etc. We love going away in the van, i have just done two weeks in mine, i didn't want to come home. We are going to use our van over the winter to get as much use out of it that we can.

Thanks for the info Fogey, but i just thought if i got the measurements before i got the van, (cuz i'm impatient like that) i could then do some therapy window shopping at the awning departments.
Hi Belinda, glad you enjoyed the van. . . . two weeks! .. . . BLISS. . .
ABI Sprinter 400D exact awning size is 770CM. When we bought our van, it already had a Bradcot active awning inside. Don't know how the previous owners managed with it as it's a size too big, lots of slack. Hope I can find someone who does alterations fairly cheep.
Ive just bought my first caravan and I had many sleepless nights waiting for delivery. Not because of excitement but worrying. Would I be able to tow it? how did all the equipment work? did I buy the right motor mover because my drive is very tight and awkward etc etc.
The dealer was great and explained everything and I towed it hom without mishap (75 miles and got it in the drive. Im now having sleeples nights wondering if I will get it out again. Where would life be without worry and excitement?
My worries were almost the same as yours atomic al. (Fitting it in the drive, will we be able to tow it 70 odd miles down the M6) . . .
Well, we got it yesterday, the guy from Barrons was brill, showed us how everythin worked. Towed it back (anxious moments on the motorway - slashing down with rain and lots of lorries overtaking us 4 a change) got it in the drive, hooked up to the garage, did a dummy run on everything. Whatwas I worrying about folks?
Our boys had their tea in it last night, and this morning they had ten minutes before they went to school. They want to move into it
