Hello Skellei, I have had to take the decision to sell my Bailey Scorpio ( 1991 ) 16ft 4 berth with a large awning and all usual necessaties, I live in St Helens, and the caravan is on secure storage in Prescot which can be kept on should the new owner require it. It is currently being advertised on PRE-LOVED so if you would like to have a look at it my email details and phone number are on there.( there is also a picture on my profile so if you click on gallery images on the left of this post you will see it ) MUST GO TO GOOD HOME
It looks a good van, mine is a 1996 and is solid and my last van was also, newer doesnt always neccesarily mean better either.

To be honest, you'll be surprised what's around for that sort of money. Go & have a chat with the salesman at your local dealers & ask him to tell you what vans are around that money. You'll be surprised at some of the part exchanges they'll be offering that sort of money on.

HOW DID YOU DO THAT !!!! I couldn't figure out how to pit my picture on ! I've got my dozy head on when it comes to computers. Full of eager intentions then fail miserably..... I should put that as my signature shouldn't I !................ It is a nice van though !

We have taken the plunge and purchased a 1995 Swift Challenger. The only fault that we could find with the caravan was a slightly squashy floor just near to the kitchen. The dealer has promised that this will be fully rectified (i.e. it will be injected with resin to replace the polystyrene which has failed with age). The rest of the van seemed to be perfect - no readings anywhere with the damp meter and I tested just about everything. The furnishings were all in perfect conditions which seemed to be amazing given the age of the van.
We got the caravan knocked down from £4200 to £3850 + starter kit, battery, gas, awning and ground sheet. The caravan also has a 15 month warranty, so it looks like a pretty good deal to me.
Does this sound like a good deal (although, we have paid a deposit now, so it's probably too late).
I paid £3500 for my 97 garland that included aquaroll, wastemaster, battery, power and gas. didnt want an awning so i would say you did well as the swift is a lot bigr than the garland
Ive tried and it doesn't give me the option to paste on here ! I have pasted it loads of times In 'MY pictures' but when I try it on hear the paste option isn't available I give up !!
BUT happy caravanning skellei

Thanks to you you all, for your advice and encouragement. I apologise now, for the amount of questions we will probably have, now that we have taken the plunge into the world of caravans. I hope WE can help/advise others one day, with the same patience and promptness. Anyone want to buy a tent?..Ha Ha
Congrats on your new caravan Skellei , i think you've done pretty well on the deal . Let us know how you get on with it and we're ( the UKCS members ) always here when you need us .
