I got my Powrtouch model 3 on a price match including the 5year guarantee. It was that cheap compared to what i had previously been quoted, I got the powractuator too for a total of £820 including fitting. Only issue i have, its a little slower than other models that i have played with.

how did you get the whole lot including actuator for 820, going to get one soon and thoght the powractuator was 200 extra, could be tempted if i could get the lot for £820.

SP

I have just got the invoice out, £825 was the total breakdown is £530 ebay price match, £200 powractuator & £95 for fitting. No delivery charge and with the 5 year guarantee. This was only back in March, so it looks like powrtouch have changes their pricing structure very recently.

£695 for powrtouch fitted by dealer on new van.  This was a special show deal ath the NEC when we ordered van.

Now have a problem after only using 3 times.  It goes round in circles will not go back or forward, waiting for engineer to come out.  Phoned powrtouch they sorted it and sent item which we may need, now have that so just waiting to be fixed.

Having posted earlier about our problems with our powrtouch, it is almost a week since they said they would send a new electronics board out to us, hubby will chase them up tomorrow, this happened once before and they admitted they had forgot to put it in the post! Then we will have to wait for the engineer to get in touch. It will take about 2 1/2 weeks in all for it to be fixed, if we are lucky. If its not fixed for the next Bank Holiday weekend, we won't be able to go. With the past problems we've had with ours, it's obvious they are not made to last more than five years.

We are happy to price match however, please be aware our price match deals are on a like for like basis only. Therefore we will price match the Enduro, though in order for us to make this a like for like price match the following additional cost should apply.
Powrtouch Heavy Duty unit with Powrbar    £569.00
Extra 3 Year Guarantee    £95.00
Enduro charge £99.00 for an additional 3 years, bringing the total guarantee period to 5 years)
Delivery                  £19.00
Total                     £683.00
Fitting                   £125.00
(This is an increase on our standard fitting charge of £60.00, as this charge is subsidised against our full purchase price of mover.

We are looking at 2 - 3 weeks for delivery and then the engineer for your area will contact you and arrange to come and fit your caravan mover.

This is pretty much what I was told but I didn't have to pay the £19 delivery and I think the fitting was included.

However, I waited 4 weeks (I couldn't have it delivered in weeks 3 and 4 anyway) and then had to chase them. Miraculously it was ready the next day. I arranged delivery and the fitter phoned me the day it was delivered and arranged to come the next day to fit.

First of all he was a bit peeved because the mover was up the far end of the garage (I had to get the car in!) and he was "used to them being just inside the door ready". He fitted it and then came to demonstrate it.

It didn't work, just going a couple of inches in any direction (except forward!) and then stopping. You could hear the motor going so he said it was my leisure battery that was "knackered" and I would need a new one. So off he went.

Fortunately I know someone in the trade who tested the battery and said it was fine. What he did notice, though, was that the fitter hadn't secured the connections properly. He sorted that for me and the mover works fine now.

I had only paid the deposit so didn't pay the rest until I was sure everything was OK and then I put in a covering letter saying I wasn't very pleased with the service. That was only Monday so I'm waiting to see what response I get.

I went for the Powrtouch because I'd read so many good reviews of it. I'm beginning to wonder if I've done the right thing now with so many bad comments recently!

I contacted the people on ebay and they are Bolsover Caravans. They quoted £689 with fitting for the enduro. I will wait till I get the caravan then see if I really need it but that seems a good price I think compared to over a grand at Lowdham.

One and the same people as Alans Caravans. That's who I got my Enduro from last month. My OH fitted it himself only took about 2.5 hrs. It's bloody fantastic. I don't know how we managed without it and I can engage it no prob and I'm only a small wumman.

We have chased up delivery of electrical box. Powrtouch are still waiting for the part from the manufacturer to be delivered to them to deliver to us. It's not looking good for BH.

Hi Cathymac, good to hear you say you are pleased with the Enduro. No one seems to have any negative comments about them yet.

My Powrmover failed the third time i used it. (storage/storage home etc)

It failed in the middle of the road, sparking a bit of a panic.

It made a clicking/whining noise just before it failed.

It does work with the cord "sort of".

By that i mean it stops in the same place (a small slope), with the same clicking/whining noise.

I have to reset the switch and disconnect the cord, before it will carry on.

Phoned Powrtouch and got the old "battery knacked" routine.

The battery is new, and had been on charge for 24 hours.

Like most on here, i have waited about a week for a new control board. (and new remote)

They must be the weak link if they are awaiting stock.

It's arrived so i'm not sure if i'm supposed to phone them or they will phone me to arrange the fitter.

I think i paid about £610 fitted  inc 5 year warranty.

Fulabeer , i'm sure i read somewhere on here that someone had a similar problem with a powertouch and it turned out to be poorly crimped cable connectors , maybe be worth checking or get the fitter to check .

Have been reading this thread with interest.
Have decided to order the Enduro mover - does anyone know - can it be moved from one van to another? - My husband will be fitting it himself.
Thanks in advance

Hi

Yes it can be moved, don't cut the cables down, just in case.
