We have one and use it both indoors qnd in the awning. Don't find any problem with it at all. But then again there are only two of us and no children dashing about to knok it over. Even if we had and they did the heater has a failsafe device built in.
------------- Don't know where I'm going but will be happy when I get there.
We bought the Towsure one and find it perfectly adequate. It does not give out the same bright light as the one I bought for home and at least it does not produce the irritating noise of a fan heater, which we used previously. Like all heaters, you need to be aware of fire risks - a fan heater may overheat and start a fire if you throw a duvet over it!! We never leave a heater on all night as we don't find the need for it.

Bought a perfectly adequate fan heater from Focus. Warms the caravan in minutes. Also, it's low-power so doesn't take too many amps from the ehu. Radiants (-for that's what the halogen heaters are) are not safe for camping and caravans. TTC.
Hi, just can't stand that light! I use an oil filled radiator type (DeLongi), low wattage and very quiet in operation, has a thermostat control, great to keep the chill off in the night.
We had a halogen heater for the tent but also found it only heated directly in front. Did not heat the tent area. We then bought a small fan heater for about a tenner from a local hardware store with thermastat and 3 settings - 2 heat settings and a cold setting for summer. Works great for us. Wouldn't leave it on all night though, but then again I wouldn't leave any heater on in a tent all night.
