Well done you. Once you've done it you think to yourself well what was I worried about.
On Sunday I'm going away on my own. Me and Cora the dog. Now that is a scarey prospect. The towing OK I can do that but navigating, setting up and then packing up well thats another story. I tend to leave my OH to do all that stuff.
Wish me luck
Cathy, I've just come back from a week in the Lakes, just me and the dog. I got a good picture of the route in my head, programmed the sat nav and sat back and concentrated on the driving. I found setting up and packing up easier on my own because I've got a routine going now and nobody to hassle me to finish with the water/electricity/toilet. Mind you, I did get a motor mover fitted which is a lady-caravanner's best friend! You can always tell Cora it's her fault if it gets complicated - she won't mind, if she's anything like my dog, she'll either turn her back on you or grin at you!
I belong to the Swift Owners Club and many of our lady members take their turn in towing. Now all I have to do is to persuade my missus to follow their example

I love towing our van and even if my hubby learns to drive I don't think I'd like him to tow it as I wouldn't trust him lol. We'll be coming to Tintagel next month, hoping to get to see the other part of the castle (didn't have the energy to go up both sides lol). Anyway keep up the good work for us women towers
Are you actually staying in Tintagel or just popping in??
------------- Don't know where I'm going but will be happy when I get there.

I loved the looks I got when I pulled into the service station (to let Cora stretch her legs) here's this big beast of a 4x4 towing a 23ft caravan the door opens and there's Cath. all 4ft 10ins of her. The look on peoples faces was hilarious !!!
It's a great achievement for anyone but I do think there are some things that men seem to take to quicker and do (dare I say) better than women. My OH can reverse as good as he can drive forward.
Where we store our van we need to reverse down a gap that's only ins wider than the car and about mtrs long. There is no way in the world I could do this. On the other hand there are lots and lots and lots of things ladies can do much better than men.

Cathymac ---- YES YOU COULD. it just takes practice. When I started towing, my reversing was but it gets better every time I do it...............and Im a MAN
