How about the T at B vans at around £6,999?  Lol

Ali

Going to have to be a bit more specific if it's to get on the list.

Ahhh we looked into the Altea - worth checking what you get for your money though as we compared the Altea to the Bailey Ranger and the Bailey won hands down. There were a lot of 'optional extras' which when added to bring up to the Bailey spec ended up making it more expensive than the Bailey.

I'm pretty sure the Altea didn't have an oven, for example.

We have a 2008 altea which yes we did have to get oven/grill fitted to along with status 530 aieral and hekii roof light we got most of this thrown in for free tho!

The 2009 altea however does now come with an oven and grill as i noticed when at caravan dealers other day very nice vans new layouts look good too and also very good price.

We also compared bailey and the adria and for us the Adria won hands down each to their own i suppose

Sorry to change subject slightly but wouldn't buy as much as a replacement fuse from broad lane caravans!

Daventry branch may be excellent but the ones closest to us in Alcester are shocking for after care and rip off servicing costs

Well Mike if you have clicked the link I don't think you would be needing to ask that question lol!

2 berth unless you know each other VERY well.

Update II:-

A. 2009 T at B 320* £6999 at Southdown

B. 2009 Altea 390ds £9190 at Daventry Broadlane

C. 2009 Altea 6 berth for £9600 at Daventry Broadlane.

* given this the honour of THE cheapest but as the advertising blurb starts with 'this is NOT a caravan' the position could be up for grabs.

Its a caravan with all the heavy bulky 'gotta have' stuff removed. I have done tenting so i recon you do not actually need a shower, central heating, big oven, big freezer, fixed beds, fitted loos etc etc etc. But if you do not mind towing a monster caravan with an equally monster car the luxurys are rather nice - especially in the winter But then a well equipped van will never ever be the cheapest lol!

I will have to admit defeat on the Freedom Jetstream, that was the price listed in Practical Caravan magazine, however, dealer price is, as you state £7k.

We have just purchased an Adria Altes 542Uk from Campbells in Preseton

So 5 Birth = Good.

Lightweight = Good

Paid £8000 = Even better for 2008 model. OK no oven, but who want to smell the van out, use a george foreman in the awning etc.

For me excellent value, 2 fixed bunks,  2dinettees.

Looks like you got a good price, but not sure it can fit in the list as we are now in 2009 year models.

we looked at the bailey's & were very impressed with the quality to value ratio

we opted for the tec van as it suited our needs better (laminate floor with kids & a dog), & was priced very compariably

£1    yes  £1  it was a buy it now had to put that as the listing on ebay as it was free to collector   however we paid our pound for a very old monza 5 berth  fell in love with immediatley - the project being to do up and look into storing n france  ( have had help on here from other members )  it was dry very dated but spacious  and came with an awning umbrella windbreaker  we were very happy UNTIL  someone decided to torch it this weekend !!!! awful act or arson and very upsetting . However not to be defeated am going to look at another - trophy agrarian this evening   any tips would be apreciated  am very new to caravanning
