I quite agree Jenny which is why the last van we bought will be the last van we will ever buy. (see our gallery).
It has an expected life of around 25 years, is small enough that if we do not use it for a few years, it will not cost us anything, yet is big enough to give us a comfortable holiday anywhere in Europe.
There is a theory going around about the "T" Factor.
It concerns the differencve betwen "That van over there" and "that van over here"
Each year we look at that van over there.
We might be at a show, or on a campsite, or looking at a neighbours new purchase.
We see that van over there and imagine what if would be like over here. In fact we want that van over there to be over here.
Then, a year later, that van that was over there, is now, over here.
Are we happy.
No.
Why not?
Because we are now looking at that van over there.
The van that is over here does not exist. It has nothing going for it. It is not worth talking about, at least not compared to all the gizmos that is on that van over there!!!!
