I've got one of those cleaning brushes, but find it doesn't have the strength to remove the stubborn streaks.
It is also a little bulky to get in all the nooks and crannies.
With a big sponge, you are up close and personal, so you see all the little dirt marks.

Why clean the caravan? Well they cost a fortune, and anything that will help it last longer and avoid the dreaded damp has to be a good thing.
Mind you, i have heard you think licking a plate clean means it doesn't then need washing!!! (happy xmas... )
