They were showing the caravan with 'library pictures' when they re-advertised it, which shows an oven - this caravan did not have one.
Next, they advertised it as 'pictures to come later'.
Now, they are advertising it with actual pictures of the caravan with the oven area not shown. The stock number, or reference number, is still the same.
This has all happened today. What are they up to?
I used to work for a car dealer and, by law, every vehicle coming in had to be given a stock number which stayed with it until it was sold. I assume this is the same for caravans. Does anyone know if this is true?
I was told by one of the people I spoke to there that anyone who posted on 'review sites' was an idiot and not worth bothering with. I was also told that the mould we found underneath the caravan was normal. Can anyone tell me if that is true, please. (The mould, not the idiots).

Hi Kira
I don't know what we did right, but I got our money back within a week. I was determined not to take any rubbish from this company.
I suggest you ring and ask for Ralph Thorman, he's a senior manager (lol) (I called this man a liar to his face) and told him I wanted a refund. At the time of our dealings with these cowboys, my OH was doing some work at the house of a barrister who deals in Consumer Law and I told them so, so that may have had done something to do with it!!!
The barrister told us that all you need to do is to tell Glossop Caravans that they have broken their contract with you and you no longer have any trust in them and want a full refund. Apparently, they have to give it to you by law. We didn't even have to put it in writing - they just rolled over, so it's worth a try.
We also refused to take the caravan back to them unless they paid for our fuel so they sent someone to fetch it and the driver brought our cheque. (Don't give him the keys til you have the cheque, but if you paid by card you can ask for a refund into your bank account and ask for the charge to be paid back if you pay byCredit Card). They also refunded £30, the cost of our damp test.
Ralph Thorman will swear blind he has returned your calls and answered your emails but it's all lies (sue me Mr Thorman PURLEASE!!!!!!). Keep on at him, give him a time limit to ring back, say 2 hours, and, if he doesn't call, ring again. Tell the lady who answers the 'phone exactly what you think of her boss and ask her to pass it on to him.
His email address is 'rt1 at glossopcaravans.co.uk'.
I also rang Trading Standards (you can find which one to ring on the Internet by bringing them up and putting in Glossop Caravan's post code). They told me that there's not much they can do at present but, if they get enough complaints, they will pay a vist. Perhaps we should all get together?
Why should these people be allowed to carry on ripping off Jo Public?
Good Luck!
Margaret

So thats how he can afford an Aston Martin DB9. CONMAN
I may have to visit glossop caravans just to reverse my towbar into it!
We live a few miles away from Glossop and our first impression of this place was WELL OVERPRICED and Car Sales con men type of dealership.
I went else where for our new van and saved £2000 and got a bradcot awning thrown in. Were so relived we never shopped here.
