I have done this several times and I have had all my money returned or the item significantly reduced. There is also a help line now for e-bay which is quite good. The important thing is to show e-bay you have tried to resolve the matter by communication (emails) so start sending them and do not threaten, they seem to switch off to customers who threaten. thanks for that it was an ebay item but i boughit with an offer so not  sure if its registered with them?

but i did pay the whole amount via paypal and have lodged a dispute  this afternoon

was in the process of buying a larger car for this caravan, now not sure whether to hold fire, and brace myself to get turned over again...because if theres a car out there about to imlode i will find it!

the seller says that paypal do not cover caravans?

i will have to find out today,the money was paid via a credit card so thats my next port of call

when serviced the brake pads crumbled in the guys hand which is not a nice thing to know when you have driven the thing home with your 3 kids in the car!

 trying to get out of paying up,make sure you file a dispute with e-bay/paypal and keep all records of phone calls and e-mails that you send and receive,e-bay/paypal will need these to confirm your claim if it goes any further.

 the seller is liable if the goods are not as described,hence the rules on e-bay for sellers and buyers.

 could you post the item no. on here then we can all have a look at the description in the sale,give us a better insight to the problem.

 hope you have success with this,sounds as tho you have been sh**** on from a great height.

the seller has just fetched back the caravan and returned the £2000

im amazed and would like to thank you to all  who gave advice

im a lucky boy.

ive changed my car for towing and paying for storage and now have no caravan

even though ive just payed for a service!
