the mold costs alot and you can make 100 good ones from it then you need to buy another mould too expensive!

i am not just going to use it as well as camping this is the idea and somewhere to store gear and sit!

Hi all, i noticed a few of you talking about the pod caravans. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Patrick Cook from the Bakelite Museum and bought a pod caravan 2 years ago. They are fantastic. Unfortunately i have to sell this beauty and its currently on ebay item number 300322634807. Please feel free to have a look and email any questions on ebay if you are interested. Its in fab condition as only ever used twice but was drawn to it for its stylish retro look.

HI! Yes i am still thinking about it as i have already gone in to a contract to buy one off patrick but might also look at yours which i was going to buy 2 years ago! Why not sell it to him if you do not get a sale or use it yourself it looks great but i am going for a different design inside hope it sells good pics on ebay!

Has anyone built one of these tiny caravans / Teardrops in the UK?

I'm 1/2 way through building a 9' x 5' number and am having trouble sourcing aluminium edging that will flex round a 19" radius and a suitable weatherproof hinge for the tailgate.

Help???

there is a local kitchen shop throwing away aluminium from old kitchens!They are near to my work place what a waste!

mine uses normal t ,hinges then a coer of rubber cut from a truck /tractor inner tube . lasts about 10/15 years .mine is 25/30 yr old.really good peice of kit.
