Saw a lovely carlight van on ebay a while ago, looked so lovely I wanted it! It also had the wedgewood crokery and the crystal glasses!
it also had a door on both sides!

Can;t remember sale price of the other one, but it had an extra bed at the side too.

Reminds me of our first caravan bought 3 years ago.We had no idea about caravans and just wanted a cheap tourer to see if we would enjoy caravaning.
This was a 1981 Commander 152..
Unfortunately,it was involved in an accident and was written off. That caravan is still sadly missed..
they have one for sale at kimberly caravans, saw it last week with my Daughter, she fell in love with it but at £16,000, few it think again
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
You will pay over the odds for any well designed and well built caravan whether it is old or new.
We paid £13000 for our customised Sprintaway Lux, see my gallery.
It has everything that any larger caravan has except a shower and it also has many fittments and fittings that are sadly lacking in most modern vans.
However the main selling point for us was the 6' 6" single beds which we need but that are not available in any other van we looked at.
If you want quality then you pay for it, but with the price comes comfort and when you are spending a great deal of time in your van, comfort is priceless.

Sorry to hear about the write off. Must have been a wrench. An enthusiast would happily repair that as it looks otherwise immaculate.
unfortunately the damage was more serious than it first looked. It would have needed the whole front end rebuilding with a new grp panel.
These are not available 26 years later so the insurance company wrote it off.
It was a sad day to see it taken away....
This was the last I saw of her.
