gas mc, really! you must look deeper into to eddies sense of humour.

As for roasting dishes, I don't know, the Cadac one is enamelled, round and quite deep, one thing I have realised is that you dont need too much oil for roasting.  We once bought a piece of pork in a Hypermarket and did that on the flat griddle, the meat was so tender and the "crackling" we crisped up under the grill in the van.

I love my Cadac, and wish I hadn't left it in the van after our last holiday, it doe's a better job than my oven sometimes!

We've always done all our meals at the pitch other than the odd takeaway. In 14 seasons caravanning we've never cooked in our caravans other than the odd stew in the colder months. We don't like barbie food & don't want  cooking smells in the van so until now we've used two air cookers on a table in the awning & a Beauclaire outside. I understand it's similar to the Cadac but I feel the Cadac has stronger legs on it & possibly a slightly larger burner. We'll be buying a new large size Cadac ready for next season & leave the Beauclaire for use at home.

I think the largest Cadac is the carry chef but as a family of 6 we'll need the big one. They certainly seem to have a good reputation.
