I'd be really annoyed to get to a show that i've paid an entrance fee for only to be told that i can't see one of the stands unless i'm going to buy!
Thumbs up to the Fifth Wheel company who realise that they have a wonderful 'van and even though the majority of browsers won't be buying still let them look. Though with a £60,000 'van i think i'd understand not being allowed to look lol.
Just makes me wonder what the Stealth is trying to hide?
just flicking through their fantastic brochure and it seems they have already altered their max weight on some of the vans.saw the printed weights were professionally scribbled out and wrote in with a biro.i also noticed the long list of extras to bring some of the vans up to spec came to nearly £4k on top of base price to spec it up to a pegasus for instance.
credit to the salesman we saw though let us have a good poke around and offered us to view the other vans on the display and wasnt too disheartened when we basically said "no, we would be wasting your time and ours"
Stealth by name and nature according to how many people were on the stand when I ventured to enter it today...not many!!! To be questioned on whether I was looking to buy before viewing was insulting and we decided to move on. I did have a quick look around the outside and all I can say is Shoddy. The whole thing looks like it been thrown together by the team from Blue Peter.
I don't envisage seeing many of these on the road in the near future.
that 6 berth how you suppose to get past the bloody ladders in the night to have a pee from the bed room cos i know we leave the ladders up for our kids not for me im afraid
I have taken a look at the Stealth caravans today at the NEC, I thought that the all looked a very harsh finish, and to be honest just didnt look comfortable or relaxing at all. I dont know who these would appeal to.
Well we went to the NEC today and the 1st port of call was the Stealth stand. We were welcomed in and individually shown around the caravan.
It really isn't to our taste at all but the young bloke showing us around knew his stuff and explained why they were showing us them individually. Seemed fair enough to us especially when it came to waiting to see other makes of 'vans. Preferred the usual way otherwise we wouldn't have been able to see as many 'vans as we did.
Made a comment to the bloke about there only being one towel rail and he asked how many would we need rather than just brushed the comment aside.
We were impressed with how they ran the stand and could see there point of view in doing it their way.
OMG just got back from the show, what the hell were Dumpster House trying to do?
If the sheds they were showing are meant to be the finished article that the public are going to take delivery of then I think they may as well shut up shop now.
Build quality is the worst I have ever seen on a caravan.
Not one of the vans on display had a usable awning rail, all had been distorted and bent out of shape at the rear top corner, they had also been jointed very badly.
All had various fittings, heating vents, cupboard doors, etc, put on wonky.
The handles fitted under the already very uncomfortable seats dig into the calf muscles.
The TV brackets on exposed coach bolts look so cheap it is unbelievable.
The bathroom sinks are going to be a nightmare, shaking loose while driving and getting scratched if they stay on long enough to need cleaning.
The fronts of them not only look very box trailer in shape they show up every blemish glaringly in the high gloss black finish.
And to top that the sales staff not only had little or no knowledge of the product they were selling (which was obvious when any questions were asked) they were down right rude asking people if the were buying or browsing and then asking people who were just looking to leave the stand including ourselves.
Went today with friends who have a pancake trailer..used for big shows such as the great yorkshire, and he said the outside was just like a square catering trailer... and do you know he was spot on !!!
------------- wishing everyone,,,,what you would wish for yourselves x
I love the way they've painted the nose black - apparently to stop "yellowing", the peril of all caravanners, I'm sure you'll agree (!) - and then stuck ENORMOUS chrome letters on it spelling out "STEALTH".
Reminded my of this:
