For me at the moment not paying a deposit is great as I have been made redundant, but if I cannot make the dates I will cancel but know what you mean, although I understand they do monitor this now.

So Suzzie, your the one who clogged the site up He He
Sooo Sorry.......
To be honest I felt like screaming at the computer you'd get so far and it would crash...... anyway booked Rowntree Park for August which was the most important one and West Ayton these are our main hols next year for our two week break. I also booked Edinburgh for end of May. Like I said other sites will have to wait as aren't that important. I do hope that people don't go booking loads of sites and don't turn up as that really isn't fair.
that wasn't a pop at you ray...just generalization of what happens usually from now on ...fully booked on the sites individual websites and no space for me again and people don't turn up ..sheeesh ...lol

I have to agree it really isn't fair..... We've been on sites that were supposed to be full and end up with several pitches free for days in peak season and it isn't on...... so please think before your book.
This is my first year so this might be obvious to the rest of you, but if you've had it crash trying to go on from booking summary, it may still have gone through. I just spent the best part of an hour trying to get beyond that page, only for it to tell me I couldn't book because I already had a booking for that date. It is showing in "my bookings" but I didn't get the confirmation page nor a confirmation email.
It seems such an illogical system though, no wonder it's overloaded on one day like this.
Reading this makes me sooooo pleased we use CLs, CSs and C&CC Weekend Meets and Holiday Sites - no problems getting a pitch at any time year, and we very rarely book anything.
I have so far got one site in Scotland booked, oh was on the phone while i tried the computer he got through to the site direct. still have one club site to book, but having trouble trying to book cls in Scotland as one i rang has now shut. So am looking for a cl round the Aviemore area.

When I'd gone through all the pages to book I received a confirmation email with all my booking details on........so it seems a little puzzling to me.
Yeah I did for the other booking I did too, which is why I thought it hadn't worked.

As a generalisation this is extreme and not typical in general the vast majority of bookings made are taken up by the members. it is only the tiny minority of toe rags who do what you are suggesting.
