I was only discussing this yesterday with a colleague. Personally I would not have a tracker fitted for the simple reason that if the van  was stolen I would not want it back!

What would be worse than getting your pride and joy  back damaged, covered in who knows what and then having all sorts of arguments with the insurance company.

IMO if you can afford a tracker you can afford a "new for old" insurance cover....which will give a better result if the van is pinched and be cheaper to boot!

Hmmm... didn't think about that.  We're so undecided - it's like being on a ruddy see-saw!  We'd really love a motormover but I'm thinking that's even more to be nicked!

We already have new for old on the van & awning plus equipment & personal posessions cover.  Don't keep anything of 'sentimental' value in the van so nothing that couldn't be replaced easily enough if it were stolen plus the dogs are never left in there on their own - if we go out they come with us.

Virtually no chance of it being pinched from storage as it's a CASSOA Gold site with a big electric gate thingy plus barrier, CCTV etc... & we already have the Alko secure wheel lock, hitch lock & alarm on the van.

Suppose the choice to be made is (1) motor mover & increase the equipment value on the insurance to cover it or (2) Tracker & do without the mover...........

I personally think that a van is unlikley to be returned whithout it having been entered or undamaged, even if it was missing only for an hour or so.

Just my opinion though...
