Very often you end up with the front of the van virtualluy on the ground due to the slope. Then it is difficult to wind it up enough on the jockey wheel.

What you need to do is wind it up as far as it will go, then wind a front leg down for support, then you can adjust the joclkey wheel tube so you can wind it higher.

Always a little scared of the jockey wheel 'cause the 1st time we had to raise it - we wound it too much and it fell out ! Scared me to death ! I know you learn by your mistakes....

we camped at one site in wales and there was a 5 foot gap under the jockey wheel,the warden supported it tree trunks.hope i get this right Lyanystumdwy near bala (40 miles).i did not sleep a wink all week waiting for the van to slide down the hill.will not be going back.great views though.
