I have a 2 wheel drive carver euro mover on my twin axle swift 620 . Granted it will not do a 90 degree turn in 1 movement but a bit of shunting back & forth gets it in most positions . I dont have the room at the storage compound to position it with my car so i get it somewhere near unhitch and use the mover . I wouldn't have a twin axle caravan without a mover fitter fitted ! Although they are expensive i have had this mover fitted on the last 3 caravans and it is 8 years old . I even use it for hitching up ( I pick up the van from storage on my own frequently ). One word of advice- simply leaning on the caravan whilst turning it will help it make a tighter turn.
According to my instruction manual it doesn't matter if it's fitted to the front or rear axle . If fitted to the front lower the jockey wheel , if fitted to the rear raise the jockey wheel - simples! I opted to fit mine to the front wheels a) it doesn't get as dirty -if fitted at the rear it catches all the muck thrown off the wheels b) i have a spare wheel carrier mounted directly behind the back axle . Have you considered buying a second hand unit? They do come up from time to time on ebay . I paid 600 quid secondhand for mine 6 years ago & fitted it myself
