i bought kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster, iron, and all still going strong, but as a woman with thought in mind, i wouldnt DREAM of using them all at same time, ask around im sure there will be more men that trip the electric not us sensible women!! mnd you im sure they wont admit it!!??
Ooh the sandwich toaster !!, forgot all about that! thanks for the reminder , we never use it at home , but always used to use one in the caravan for quick supper/breakfast or lunch . Something else for me to put in the caravan tomorrow. I always used the cheap supermarket electrical stuff in our previous caravans and never had any trouble either

went today and got all my stuff for caravan, kettles, toasters, iron, wine glasses, etc...lol all for under 20 quid... woooooh hard to beat. just need the weather now..
A good tip is not to use any electrical item from a supermarket in a caravan otherwsie you will always be tripping the mains with kettles and toasters being the main culprits.
If you are going to use them, always switch off your heating including your hot water boiler otherwise you are not going to be very popular with other campers when you trip the site electrics.

Does a 2000w kettle bought from a supermarket work differently than a 2000w kettle bought from Curry's.....?
Like with most things with caravan's and their owners, the simple application of common sense goes a long way. Which In our daily experiences seems to be seriously lacking....!
A kettle is a kettle, and as long as it's fit for purpose it matters not a jot where you bought it.
------------- We have Approved Mobile Workshop Status
Just back from our first trip away since October and had toast three times in the caravan made with our very cheap own brand Asda toaster bought the day before we went, and guess what it didnt break down and it did make good toast. Well done Asda.
Have to say that we have most of the electricals in the caravan (including an Iron) and after having some issues with toasters and dvd players I would say that Asda products are better than the other large brand. I dont really understand this as being fair the products do look very similar (identical in the case of the toaster) but the Asda ones do seem to work whereas the others didn't.
------------- The things that come to those who wait, may be the only things left by those who got there first.

A 2000w kettle brought at ASDA and a 2000w kettle from Curry's should roughly have the same effect. If you start using it with other electrical equipment you run the risk of tripping/blowing fuses. We always use a kettle specifically designed for use in a caravan. It takes a little longer to boil, but lessens the risk of tripping the electric. It's not where you buy it from, it's the type of kettle that matters.
its not that these items are bad in fact good but hook ups are often 10amp so to use kettle the heating would have to be turned off or as easter time the site looses all power heating elements are the problem.
