Makes me wonder if they dont do any good why caravan companys fit them as standered these days. It whould be much cheaper to fit the old type.

Regarding alco stabiliser, i used my 3004 alco stabiliser for the first time over easter period, down the M5 to somerset. What a difference it made, it was magic, felt so confident overtaking, i ways used a scott atabiliser before for yrs, i used to dread overtaking, and when artics came past you at speed,. Saved my pennies, best thing i ever done. My advise would be go for it, i know they are expensive but its piece of mind at the end of the day, hope this helps

They do do a job. They do make for a more comfortable drive. The old type are a pain in the at at at at to fit every time.

The main reason companies fit them is because the customers want them.

Neither the stabiliser manufacturers or the caravan manufacturers claim they are a safety device any more.
