I've bought it,
I use it.
Don't see the point in pulling it all the way to a site,
to use what's already at the site when I get there.
The only thing banned in the van is breaking wind
we have an awning for that

We use the site facilities if they are provided, but we also use a CC and CCC minimum facxilities sites.
The van showers are good, our Bailey has a plastic lined one, but previous vans have not been, but we have never had damp problems.
We have 2 aquarolls , I make sure that one is always full before showering, or switch to the full one. Also check the waste master is not full, if it is it makes draining away difficult!
After one shower wait a bit for the water to heat and recheck the aquaroll.Simples!
We also tend to empty the loo every couple of days so as to avoid the " I am full" light coming on in the middle of the night!
After use wipe the shower down sorted.
One reason we changed to our Pegasus was the nice size end bathroom.
Oh and make sure the van is level otherwise the tray gets a bit of water in it ! ( Found that one out once!)

I haven't tried our shower out yet, only had the van a couple of weeks .
Tbh I'm a bit concerned about the walls being wet and causing damp .
Ours has a seperate shower room but only a curtain, not a posh cubicle like some of the new vans have.
Do you all go wiping down the walls with a towel after using it each time ?
Another thing is, how long would a tank of hot water last in the shower? would hate for it to start going cold before I'd rinsed the shampoo out of my hair, and that takes ages in the shower at home as I have long thick hair.
I know what you mean Debbie, our van has a separate enclosed shower cubicle so I dont think twice about using it, but if the shower was just against the van walls as yours would seem to be, then I wouldnt use it. I would be afraid of the van walls getting damp, which surely they would over time?
As for condensation, I open the window or the roof vent. There is far less condensation than your shower at home, because you arent standing under running water for ten or fifteen minutes in your van. If you have paid for a van with a decent shower in it, why not use it. Im not saying I never use site facilitities, if they are nice clean ones I do. But we also like the peace and quiet and scenery of CLs, so having our shower gives us that freedom to choose.
There is an art to van showering, and I too have long hair. Dont have water as hot as at home so it takes longer to empty hot tank (or is this my imagination!) Wet your hair, switch off water while you shampoo, rinse hair, switch off water to slap conditioner on, wash the rest of you while hair conditions(might need a quick splash to help the soap along) then rinse the lot off. Voila!

All this has been really helpful. Our caravan is a Bailley with a fully enclosed plastic shower so I'm not going to feel guilty about using it anymore. The tip about not leaving the water running was really good because silly me didn't think of that one! We have bought another aquaroll and a bigger waste thing so everything should be tickety boo!
I was soooo pleased about having a toilet as well so I'm glad I no longer feel guilty about using that too! I'm just going to empty it myself.
I am rather paranoid about drying everything though, I spent the first weekend checking if anything had been splashed around the sinks and drying everything down. I found it was good to leave one of those micro fibre cloths there as they were really good for it.
I can't believe how I have turned into such a "caravany" - I love it! I'm wondering if it's ignited the 'dolls house syndrome' in me.
I just loved waking up in the caravan!!!
