Adding to Janus's comment, the main advantage that C&CC have over CC are the Temporary Holiday Sites (THS) run by C&CC Members throughout the summer season.

These can be very basic although some, run on say Rugby Club Grounds, can include shower and bar facilities.

These THS's are usually run near places of interest and are very cheap. I have seen some advertised at as little as £4.50 per unit, per night.

Where else could you take the whole family on a week's holiday for just over 30 quid?????

Im over 55 too so get a massive discount if I join the C and CC Club. ( which Im doing in 2 weeks time once my pop-up roof is done )....

when we started we joined both agreeing to decide at the end of the first season which one to sitck with - three years on we are still members of both as we seem to stay in both equally.

I agree with Joecroft 2 - most all the CC&C sites we've stayed on we have been directed to a particular pitch - a decison I am not always happy with but then again OH is much more easy going than me! :-)

Ogafau is an affiliated site, ie it is run by the owners as a private concern but has a contract with the CC to provide pitches for CC members, as such they can choose for themselves what they do. Aberbran is a CC site and as such when you arrive there CC site rules apply and they say that any pitch that is vacant when you arrive is available for you to choose. However if the warden has limited availability for large caravans or for people who have special requirements they can at their discretion remove pitches from the general availability.

Another dual member here. I also agree that some C&CC sites let the side down, whereas CC appear to be more uniform.

The best C&CC sites are easily an equal to the CC standard & the extra locations gives you more choice.
