Sorry but can't afford £7 grands worth sounds very nice good luck with the sale .

I am now considering e/bay but vans within reach of viewing them would love to drop on a bargain,

If we do find it is not for us then we would have not wasted lots of pennies.

Nothing wrong with Ebay, could have sold our old one 10x over. Folks willing to travel from all over, the buyer drove 200 miles to collect. Not all of the Ebay sales are auctions, most are classifieds much the same as the vastly overpriced (to advertise) Autotrader. Just apply some simple rules, take a knowledgeable friend & look under / behind / inside everything. Damp meter is good idea.

First thing to do is find the kerbweight of your car and then find 85% of this which is the recommended maximum you should tow (especially if you're new to towing)

Then start looking for 2 berth vans which fall within this figure.

Loads of good bargains to be had on eBay but remeber it's buyer beware and if possible take an experienced caravanning friend with you when you go to look at a potential van.

I bought my 1969 Fisher Holivan for £495 and she is goreous!! Small, compact, easy to tow and currently undergoing a radical make over!
