We have both and find that its the porch awning we always seem to take. Horses for courses I suppose, and the porch gives us all the room we need for the two of us plus the dog. Just have table and two chairs in it plus wet boots. The greatest benefit to us of a porch awning is the little space it takes up in the car leaving us able to take more gear with us when we go away. Quicker to put up and don't need the little lady to assist. She sorts out the inside while I get it up and tea is ready when I'm finished.

Phil

We had a porch awning for weekends / short breaks and a full awning for the 'main' holidays.

We have recently bought a Suncamp 390 and its the only one we use now.

Lightweight, plenty of space and I can put it up / take it down by myself in no time. Best of both worlds!

Just to confuse matters we have a NR combi awning its 14foot, if we need more room we put the annex on, we also have a Isabella 680 combi that's not much bigger than a porch awning, they both take about the same time to put up.

We've now got a collection of 4, 3 of which are the lightweiight style ones, a tiny porch one, a slighlty bigger porch one, a medium awning sized spacelite and a for longer a 3metre wide full one, We use the full one if we go for longer than a week as I just can't be bothered with it for anything shorter. we haven't used the full one this year as we haven't been away for over a week this year. We use the other three depending on time of year or how many of us are going, in the winter we generally just use the little porch one just to dry the -dogs off and throw our shoes in,

Our little outdoor revolution porchlite takes about 10 minutes with both of us putting it up and pegging out
