However. You have no contract with whomever purchases it from the insurance company. Your contract is with the insurance company.
You should have only removed personal effects before handing it over to the insurance company, but once they have accepted it then that is their loss.
Similarly, when the insurance company sold it on, the new owner took delivery in it's current state.
If I were you I would refer this to your insurance company and ask them to explain how the new owner has got your name and address.
Sounds to me like a very serious breach of the data protection act has occured.
they got my details from the repair centre where the van had been assesed then stored since april.im not happy with them for releasing that tbh
