Its a 2003 plate 2.0 litre petrol.

Is your crv a petrol type please.

If so ill have to look into maybe getting on of them bars aswell.

If the handbook says 60kg then the vehicle is limited to that, not the tow bar. I would check this figure with your dealer though as it seems suspiciously low, especially as others have a higher figure quoted. If the dealer gives you a higher figure then ask for it in writing and attatch it to the handbook so you can produce it if challenged. The dvla do not have max drawbar weights on file, so the odds of being challenged are minimal, the concern is with safety and insurance.

Problem solved. There was a change in 05, i believe they termed it a facelift, which is why mine has a 100kg limit and yours has a 60kg. If you check that website out you will see that Bosal do one for your model but only rated to 60kg.

100kg,honda did point this out ,they lost out on a lot of them being sold for tow cars,because of the low,60kg printed in the hand book ,the 60kg is far too low considering the weight of the 4x4 estateThe,tow bar companys insist on the 60kg as it as stated in the hand book ,too keep themself right .Honda should have rectified this ,as it is capable of the 100kg ,

I have an 06 2.2 Diesel - which has 100kg noseweight and 1500kg max tow

Unfortunately you will limited by the plate/book.

But I would also wonder if a 2.0 petrol, when the CRV is already quite heavy, is going to be up to towing a van which you want  ? especially when the car and van are loaded for a holiday

You may need to factor in a change of car !
