Think this may be coming down to a number 1 at the barbers before you go on holiday!!!

thanks everyone...some great ideas, like the gas canister one and will hopefully be able to get one of those when back in stock!

FYI, A while back, I did some sums on the use of leisure batteries v gas for fridges.

Essentially, one of the small calor bottles contains the same energy as about 40 leisure batteries.

That's why you can't really run a hair dryer on a battery - you need the "energy density" of a carbon-based fuel.

Like the little gas canisters that fit in portable hair tongs.

Sounds brilliant to me! Where can I get info on Rallies please? I love the idea of being miles and miles from a socket!

On the hair stakes, you can see (from my pic) mine is short and doesn't need drying for drying's sake but needs it for styling. If you are in the same situation you can hang your head off your airbed / campbed or upside down out of a window and get your partner / child / slave / paid servant / soneone who owes you a favour / stray hair fetish person to brush it through for you whilst upside down so it gets a bit of volume in it. I won't say which of these type of folk does this for me...

Rallies are organised by:

Camping and Caravanning Club
Caravan Club
This forum
Other on-line forums

C&CC also organise Temporary Holiday Sites as well

The C&CC have Certificated Sites
The CC have Certificated Locations

These are small 5 pitch sites that may or may not have EHU, toilets or showering facilities

The C&CC CSs also allow tents in addition to the 5 caravan pitches

Prices for all of these can start at around £5 per unit night

Stray Hair Fetish...

Interesting...
