Thanks at 664DaveS, If it is drill proof then a locksmith is the best route - but if not, a 5mm drill bit is a lot cheaper :) Just need to know if anyone has been able to DIY drill out their aLKo 2 bullet lock?
I have drilled out bullet locks quite a few times (they fit them on security shutters). They are usually brass underneath the chrome and they take some drilling out, you will probably go through all of your drill bits. Looking at the photo you are going to need plenty of freeing oil on that rust that lock is well rusted in.

Just to conclude - I went to "do battle" with the hitch lock yesterday, armed with a lock picking set and about 10 drill bits! Before I started i thought i'd try a few random old keys (kids bike locks etc) I have.. Inserted the first one, turned and heh presto it removed - how lucky is that!!!
So my contribution to this thread... Try some old other keys first, one might do the trick:)
