I've paid extra for a hard standing - so they had better get me one! tee hee
Thanks for everyones advice, its put my mind at rest. I am sure we will be ok but just wanted some tips on how to handle it. Lets just hope last week was freak weather and that October will just be chilly, its our first season out and I was a bit concerned.
yes its hardstanding for your caravan, but not for the awning (which you are not using, so its ok) something to bear in mind, pitch right over to the side, otherwise you will still step out onto the mud
depends on where you get pitched, the hardstandings are round the edge of the caravan feild, so some are right on the top where its a bit breezy, some more sheltred, having said that the more open pitches are back to the prevailing "breeze" so not much of an issue as it would be if they were side on.
It doesnt need to be that windy inland for the wind to be quite strong coming straight off the sea.
