Hello there, bit behind the times sorry,

We bought a polaris 480 last year and have had 12 months worth of holidays so far, we have been through the CRIS registration process, its fine.

No real issues with the van at all, tows well, warm in the winter, we are away next week down to Devizes, it would be good to know how you get on with yours.

regards Steve

Not heard of Rimor before, will google them now for a nosey.

I like the foreign vans (love Adrias) and petrolheads Burstner looks perfect for us but its too heavy to tow with our Mondeo . The inlaws have a burstner motorhome which really is good quality. We are looking for a 2nd hand van (will be our 1st van) and have actually been looking for foreign vans so its good to hear the door being on the wrong side isnt really an issue. The plan is if we can get one within our budget (up to 8k for right van) is to keep it for 5 years til daughter is 17 (yikes scary thought) then replace it with a fixed bed model.

I saw these at the NEC and was majorly impressed with them.  Apart from the tiddly washrooms which bother us but wouldn't many - they are a fantastic layout.  I particularly liked the model which had fixed twin bunks and a u shaped lounge which converted to a double - I'd prefer a blind rather than a curtain dividing the two sleeping areas but a great option for older children or those who prefer twins over a fixed double bed arrangement.  Its great that after the kids have gone to bed you can access the bathroom or as OH said more importantly the fridge - without disturbing the kids.

I don't think he's sussed yet that by the time the children have switched from bunk beds to the rear to fixed singles they won't be in bed at 8pm anymore!!!!

Hi

Did you get your Rimor caravan in March? Only we ordered one from the same company and have had nothing but problems with them. Now in a dispute trying to get our deposit back! Be interested to know if others are having problems with this dealer.

Hi I can't help you on this.  But welcome to the site I was just thinking that if you may get a better response if you start a new thread - Phil may then get back to you as he's red hot on the legals

Hi debcw,

We have had some issues and do not have the van yet. I don't really want to discuss this on an open forum but if you would like to email me at nandsmiller at yahoo.co.uk we could compare notes that way! (Substitute the at for the 'at sign' if that makes sense!)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Sarah
