One-Chem is my choice - one bottle, very concentrated, I like the smell and it does the job! It's British, too, unlike Thetford.
This is going to look like I work for fenwicks now as I just posted about there cleaning fluids! But this is my choice as it is eco friendly too. We stayed on a CL site last year and could only use the CDP if we had used Fenwicks top and tail as it does not destroy the organic balance in a septic tank. I know Thetfords do the green fluid but I found this to be a bit stinky if the toilet is used fully. Have also tried Elsan which does seem cheaper than Thetfords but you seem to need more of it to overcome smells. Thetford blue if your not bothered about tipping formaldehyde down the sluice, and your not very keen with the emptying process
Hi floggit, for more info on toilet fluids etc. see www.toiletblue.co.uk cheers OMF
Thank you for the link, I have booked marked that as there is some useful stuff there. I like the comment about testing to see if your choice of toilet paper is suitable for the cassette or not, it is much better than the finger test (that is if you use a single sheet and your finger goes though it, its good enough for the Thetford!)
I will certainly be trying the Fendox in the flush tank. As when I repaired the pump it is covered in black slime in there. I think the previous owner never used the flush liquid.
Sorry about my earlier post regarding Thetford Blue I was not aware they have removed the formaldehyde, as some one kindly pointed out, it still smells the same too.
