instead of using the hand set remotely by fitting the umbilical cord you are in fact controlling the box directly.for the cost of £3 for the best batteries i change it each year, also remove the handset battery when not in use.

Ours goes through a lot of batteries as we have sold the car and just use the mover to go on our holidays now.

Only joking, we are on the same battery in the handset after 18 months and it has just gone red so time for a change of battery.

P.S can you imagine the look on peoples face if I did motor move us on our hols !

Explain please!!!  Where do jack plugs go?

One jack socket on the end of the handset, and one jack socket on the cotrol box that is fitted (somewhere - under a bed/in a cupboard?)) in your caravan. Of course, you'll have to run the lead out through a window so you can see where you're moving the van....

I purchased a cheap twin axle power touch mover from ebay with no remote. i ordered a remote from power touch and it turned up straight away.

After fitting mover tried the handset and it would move but not stop only by inputting an opposite direction.

After phoning power touch they asked me to send it to them. The day that they received it they phoned me and informed me that it was the receiver unit.

The bill for soldering a new receiver onto my board was £50 and it was returned the same day.

when i got it back it arrived with handset holder which i did not have , an umbilicle lead for the mover and everything was fixed.i am more tham impressed with the service and technical support that i was given and would  recommend them to anybody wishing to purchase a mover.
