Have you had a look at the Swift Charisma 565 or Lunar Quasar 546 (which is what we have). Yes they both have side bathrooms and they are on the small side, but they do have separate showers. I think that although the Ancona bathroom is lovely, for an area where you only shower for a few minutes a day versus a bit extra living space, it was a bit generous in size for the size of the caravan for a family. We bought our layout so we could be self sufficient and could actually use the bathroom so a wet room for us was a no no. Our children are also 4&6, we put them one by one in the shower we stand outside with the shower head shower them down and out they come - works perfectly well - we have both used the shower ourselves but tend to do this mainly on multi service pitches as OH moans about all the water filling and emptying but its fine. The only thing missing in the bathroom of ours is a decent towel rail but I think the latest models now have these so Im going to get one added this service.
The only other thing that would bug me about the Ancona would be trying to prepare lunch or dinner and the children being right behind me at the table with all their mess and toys, having all that to the rear of the caravan separates the two areas. To be honest I think the Swift with its double bunk, plus bunk which comes out over the dinette and its lovely upholstery has the edge over ours this year.
Both caravans come in at just under 25ft so would fit on your driveway too. Whatever you decide you will have a lovely van its just the detail which works for you
