thanks all, the ehu lead comes with the van and the wind down thingy. It has an alko stabiliser as standard. We have a closeweave breathable groundsheet from a trailer tent (only used the gs once) although I think it may not be long enough as looks like it needs to be 6m to use with a size 12 awning.

I'm really not bothered about an awning from them but will ask if they have any second hand ones cheap. Otherwise we can buy one from ukcs/preloved/ebay etc and get exactly what we want. The van wouldnt be ready til 26th June , they have already sold three 430's this week and have a further 5 allocated to them otherwise its August/September.

Decided we are going to buy it definetly so going back tommorrow and will ask for battery, hitch and wheelock, gas bottle in the quote and push for a discount on the fly screen and extra sockets, we'll buy the rest.

So excited, dont know how I'll sleep tonight.

Fiona, you were so right (about me going for new )

Bob, thanks for the reminder about the leveller and caravan jack (didnt think of the jack).

I'm glad I've just seen this post. Can I be cheeky and ask how much you are paying for your new van. We are in the market for a van and both fell in love with the Bailey Pegasus Bologna at the NEC. We had a good long chat with the salesman (from Lady Bailey) and the van cost about £18,000 and subject to a trade in on or van the salesman said we could possibly have it for £15,700. Is this a good price? I really, realy love the van.

We need to find out what else we may need (obviously we've already got stuff in out van that we will transfer to the new one), we will definitely need an awining with a tall annex (we always have family staying with us at some point) so would you try and get this thrown in? We bought a brand new awning an annex last year.

We've never bought a brand new van before so not too sure what to look out for.

Congratulations Savanne, Im so glad you finally found what you were looking for!  Im not usually a Bailey lover but I really like these vans, they are like little miracles. Length is an issue for us because we store our van at home, and the access is tricky to say the least. We have always had to choose between fixed bed and end bathroom as both were not possible (bathroom won out so far!) But with this model we could have both. We like to be able to stay on CLs so decent facilities are a must. And its nice to see a bit of colour coming back inside instead of all that dreary beige.

You'll be counting the weeks now!

With the exception of the wheel clamp we bought everything second hand and saved a fortune.
