I think you have a pretty awful selfish attitude to a post that is showing others a lovely site to visit, when they have taken the trouble to put photos up etc

What the........how dare you! Why the hell are you on UKCS if you don't agree with people sharing this information? Isn't that the whole point of this website? I have never come across someone so damn rude!

Lovely pics Woofers - looks like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing

Got to agree with the above post,  this is a great website and sharing recommendations for sites is one of the reasons I come on here (nearly every day)  have only been a caravanner for about 20 months but have had some fantastic tips from other members about great little sites.  We will definately be going to this site, it looks wonderful and I hope lots of others do too,  the owners look as if they love their site and why shouldnt they get good business from as many caravanners as possible.  J x

What a completely selfish attitude! Get real - as much as you might dislike the idea, this camp site, and others like it, aren't there for your exclusive use! And UKCS exists so people can share information and reccommendations for camp sites etc. - and if they didn't share on here then there are other forums/websites where the same information could be posted anyway. Many of us have 'little gems' which, in an ideal world, we would each keep to ourselves, but unfortunately things don't work like that. And if truth were known, I bet some of your 'little gems' have been found through UKCS!

Woofers, it sounds like you had a lovely weekend, and the photos are great - thanks for sharing

I have to agree too. It's what this forum is about. It's not as if the whole forum is going to swamp this site as for some it's too far to travel and besides they have a max limit so it will never be too busy.

Think it's a great thread Woofers and so is the one about showing the pics of your caravan set up. I've noticed a trend as now they are doing the same thing on the trailer tent section. Most of us all love to see everyone's set up whether it be a tent, a caravan, motorhome or campervan. It's all camping at the end of the day.

And highlighting great sites is always an added bonus for everyone and the time it takes to do so is always greatly appreciated in my opinion.

Thank you for sharing Woofers.

What a lovely attitude from the members above. Although we will not be going there as we are in the CC&C club you know ....the other one.

But I do like the idea that if someone does not behave as a member should with consideration for all others whatever they have old,new big or small. It should be one for all and all for one. That is the feeling that comes through. If you can offer advice, help you more than willing to go that extra mile for them.

We have been given so much advice, help and yup! the occasional telling off. Put it on the wrong site when I first joined had no idea. Also forgot to leave another 5 letter owrd to let the game go onward. It's all taken in the spirit said. With a few  emoticons inside.and apologies for doing it

Thanks for all the help you have given Bob  & I as we would of really been stuck as indeed we were before we joined and got help.

Thanks Woofers for the great pictures even if we cannot go there and enjoy a cuppa on the lakeside we will find our own and if we do I will endeavour to try to capture it on camera without chopping heads & tails, wings & paddle feet off.

I don't think posting details of a site on an internet forum will suddenly make a quiet site busy. If the site owners want to maximize takings they will be publisizing the site themselves anyway.

a clear case of nimby methinks. best buy a field and lake for ones self.

share the sites and all benefit.   far better a link like this than a review slating the site for train noise or local chip shop not having ketchup. one review read local shop did not sell fags and only had small selection of items. a negative review that turned out to be false and obviously sent to disscourage popularity. sad and shameful as site needed the income from visitors.

more rewiews/info like this OP please.

sorry had to add having just viewed the site web page it only accepts five units at a time and Adults only.    cant see thousands of readers crowding it and ruining it. many may be interested but few plan ahead and book accordingly. it will not be of interest to the greater lot as its too selective.  no good to me as I like to take the children away so again GREAT SITE AND REVIEW.

Fantastic, thanks for sharing those pictures, it looks absolutely wonderful there.

And we too are totally gobsmacked that someone can be so selfish as to complain about you naming the site.  Absolutely unbelievable !!
