We have a twin axle and it's not a problem at all, jack the van up, on they go, job done!

Worth it for peace of mind not to mention cheaper insurance

My insurance is conditional upon having both Alko Secure locks in use both on site and when stored at home. I get a further discount on my insurance for having 2 wheel clamps fitted when at home as well as the two Alko Secure locks so go figure why if they are so good does the insurer give extra discount for the clamps.....

The Alko Secure locks are fairly quick to fit once you get used to using the jack to lift the wheels clear of the ground before levelling. I'm always a bit wary of soft ground though and mostly I put the Kojack onto a board or piece of stainless steel plate prior to using.

Like the last two post's say it is very very easy to fit!

Either line it up with the car or Jack the van up and turn the wheel to line up the hole even our teenager can fit it  never mind the FOUR year old!

yes!, you can damage the underside of the van, they are just there to "steady" the van, please do not use to level.

Just to let you know. We bought the motor mover.  I have never seen my teenager so happy  (He says he is now the owner of the worlds biggest remote control toy).  You're right, it is easy to fit with a mover, I left it in the hands of the teenager, he didnt have a problem.

I still dont like the idea of jacking up a caravan on my own to be honest.

Thanks for all your help and advice, I really appreciate it.

Christine

Got shot of ours too much trouble after arriving on campsite tired to have to move the van inch backwards half inch forwards then backwards - can you imagine the hassle ,managed to damage my wheels as well by scratching the alloy.  I now have the excalibur wheelock which you can use on the existing alko fitting or they provide their own thru the wheel fitting - much easier and insurance approved too -

It's a doddle. Just jack it up, that's what I do on my twin axle. Takes 2 minutes. Obviuously you need to have a jack but you should really have one anyway if you're towing.
