Hi there , I am so pleased for you, I remember too that first day on the drive feeling, how very exciting!
I picked up my new caravan on friday, its too big to get on the drive, and I went to the storage park yesterday to get a few things and I just wanted to stay there and play with my new toy!
Happy caravanning, and I am sure you will find many friends on this site who will give you all the help and advice you need, I couldnt manage without it!
Hi Rhonda congratulations - I was wondering yesterday how you got on. I bet you are so excited right now - have a lovely weekend. Thing I have found with caravanning is that you do actually get to a point when you are happy with your kit and don't need to add to it but with the tenting I was always being seduced by the latest gizmo. We go away on Saturday for 2 wks in ours and I have only managed to add a clip together wire shoe rack and a few beach toys to my kit!

come on here for a breather, most of our bits and pieces are in there now and am trying to find out the weight of things I cant weigh on bathroom scales by looking them up online (chairs, tables etc.) Its all good fun though.

If you can't find the weights online you could weigh yourself on the scales, get off, and then get back on with a chair or table etc. and just note the weight difference ....that's how we did the larger items because ours are so old they wouldn't be online now :)
Hooray - so pleased to hear this news, congratulations. I remember when we first got our van, sitting inside whilst it was on the drive just watching the world go by, the neighbours must have thought I was mad! I hope you have many happy holidays in your Bailey (does it have a name yet?) and have lots of fun this weekend.
Fiona, although you may get to the stage of not needing to buy anything for our 'van, its always good to 'browse' at caravan shops! We always do wherever we go
Thanks all, been sat in it this evening with a friend who thought it was fabulous and suggested we go on a girls weekend with another couple of friends from work (will have to get OH to tow me to site!!)
I'm so pleased with it, got all our bits in it and theres still loads of empty cupboards so fingers crossed when we check the noseweight tommorrow we'll be fine. Have thought carefully about where to put stuff and do we really need it all etc after all the really helpful advice on here.
Askill, our 12 yr old daughter asked me tonight if the van was a girl or a boy. I said instantly a girl and she said in that case it has to be called Bella. So Bella Bordeaux it is
