Some years ago I was shunted from behind by a guy on a phone, driving a mini-bus full of passengers - I was going uphill at the time (at crawling pace)!! To add insult to injury one of the passengers tried to sue me for whiplash injuries!!

Just last week I saw a guy on a pushbike talking on his mobile whilst wobbling along the busiest road through Harrogate - unbelievable! 

I cannot understand why in todays day and age and all the advances in technology, mobile phone manufacturers cannot put a block on the signal when you are in a car unless its connected to a bluetooth device. Not sure how they would do it but there must be something.

I hate people using mobiles when driving too, Almost as much as I hate Drink drivers

I think people should be banned from Driving for Holding either for a phone call or texting, People are getting killed through this mindless act of people. I also agree about towing mirrors if your car is not wider than your caravan use towing mirrors!!!!!

Don't need towing mirrors for all vehicles - our Landrover Defender's mirrors fold out, you get  another 4" either side

No deterent as punishments are never meted out now, just a rap on the wrist.  If people knew they would face a ban or worse it might help but there never seem to be any police around to spot them anyway.

I passed a police van, [dog handler ]  who pulled out of the slip road,  and halfway across my carriageway- I had pulled into the middle lane to let him out. He was talking on a mobile in his right hand, cup of ?? in his left hand. steering with his knees.  UNTIL he saw my passenger raise his mobile phone to take his picture ?? 

 His face was a picture in itself.                                                              

As it was, he zoomed off into the distance, but i got his number  !!
