Don't touch gumtree especially for buying, theres vans several grand under market price and they are scams. They direct you to a fake ebay page and the reason they say they direct you to ebay is so you have payment protection. The ebay page is a fake and the van doesn't exist.
Funny you should say that about Gumtree - some friends were looking for a cheap used car a while ago & the same thing happened to them on a couple they looked at. Gathered it was some kind of scam but couldn't figure out how anyone would make any money out of it?

Nice van, but to heavy, to new and to pricey for me.
I'm looking at nearer 1987 for a few hundred (200?)
No rush cos my tow car is still in bits and the project has stalled due to needing parts and I can't afford them at the moment. (Plus I'm teaching myself to weld)
The tow car will be the 1995 Lada in the blog in the signature
I put our 6 berth Pageant Bretagne on here,a guy rang from Cambridge but we're near Chester! Put it in the local papers,a couple of calls but it seems people want EVERYTHING thrown in but as we're moving on to another van we will need all the bits n bobs we've collected over the last few years, awnings included! Just need to get old awning altered to fit now. Part ex'ing van a week tomorrow for new Olympus 504.
adsheadv Is that an English Setter in your profile pic's? We've got a Flat Coat retreiver.
Mike+Judi - no, he's a Working Cocker Spaniel although he's never done a days work in his life & was bred more for colour/appearances than working ability. He's also seriously clumsy
We're very much like you in not wanting to part with everything then have to buy it again. Then again, we might keep it & end up getting it all included in a private buy & have 2 of everything.
We've had a couple of enquiries about the van already - one man about an hour from us has asked for more pics which I'll be sending him later & then he may want to arrange to see it. Moving much quicker than I expected - we haven't even begun to empty it yet & as well as the stuff that lives in it we still have the sleeping bags from our week away in there as I didn't want to bring them home for washing all in one go.
Vanessa, You will be suprised what comes out of your van! I have got stuff all over the place now and cant wait to get our new van and put it all away again
we've got all our stuff in the dining room and rest in the garage after we had to empty ours yesterday to take back to dealer today.
Vanessa, we're going to go back to the Worcs dealer you bought off when we get back from holiday, we only didnt buy from him back in April as he didnt have a fixed bed van that suited (he has now though )

I'd recommend him to anyone. Our van is brilliant & I'd have every confidence that if there were a problem, he'd sort it. It's just the layout that isn't working - even tho we have beds for everyone the 2 teens still want to sleep in the awning annexe meaning the top bunk isn't used for anything other than a dumping ground for coats etc... & that drives me mad! We'd benefit far more from the extra seats at the back with the twin dinette layout. We live & learn...
I'll be checking his website once we sell ours to see if he has anything suitable - scared of looking too soon in case he has the perfect van & we haven't sold ours!
Enjoy your holiday & hope it all pans out nicely for you when you get back
Slightly different, we sold our old motorhome last year. I advertised it on e-bay which cost over £35.00 and we didn't get any takers. We still had to pay this charge even though it didn't sell. I then put it on pre-loved and within a few days we had two people haggling over it. Eventually sold it within 4 days and it didn't cost me anything to advertise on pre-loved. Also like this site as it always gives you the adverts of people living nearest to you first, so less travelling involved.
What worcester dealer are you talking about as we are looking for a caravan.
Would love to know good and bad dealers within worcestershire and gloucestershire.

Hi Sharon. It's Chris Jones Leisure. We bought this van from him & the only problem we've had is the layout which is most definately our own fault. The van itself is great. He's knowledgable, helpful & honest. He also pays for you to stay overnight on the rally field next door when you collect your van & then checks everything's ok before you head off the next day.
