i am going to get 2 x tyres for my van tomorrow and he wants £95 fitted. lets see what i get them for. i also want them balancing too.

In March last year I negotiated my new Bailey Ranger GT60 520/4 down from £13,550 to £12.250, then when the salesman thought it's a deal I started on the freebies, 2 hrs later new Aqua roll, waste hog, Alko Hitch lock, set of wheel lock nuts and 110amp battery all in the price.

We did not plan it but also in August PX our existing 2000 Bailey Ranger 440/4 south caravan for a 2007 Bailey S6 Pageant Burgundy, dealer asking price £9.750, 3 hrs later £8.400 plus free 12 months warrenty,new pump,new telescopic Status arial, set of wheel nuts and Alco Hitch lock.

Negotiate, Negotiate, Negotiate ! never look as if your in a hurry and be prepared to walk away, BUT, remember no good salesman will let you walk out the showroom door if he thinks you have the money to spend!

I find it really hard to haggle.  I usually go for a stroll & let OH get on with it (he enjoys it).  I thought he was quite good at it but judging by what people on here have saved, his skills obviously need to improve

well i got my tyres fitted and the good news is,,, i got them for £65.

the bad news is,,, i did not get a receipt,, so am gutted  not.

so i saved £30 so her indoors says it goes into the site fees fund.
