try this company - they supplied and fitted ours and came in well under many others.
We got the Powrtouch heavy duty, supplied by them, and they came to our storage to fit it. They go all over the south east - based in Sevenoaks, they went to our storage in Hawkinge, and fitted it in the pouring rain!!
Can't recommend them enough

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about....?
i certainly can understand why people get a van mover, especialy when they have a condition/disability of somekind. but when i was at my local dealer who i know very well we got talking about them, and he said that 80% of movers fitted are for able bodied people that want the latest gadgets, thats all.but at the end of the day if its what you want then by all means get one.

If you have a friend or family member with a few hours to spare and a box of rudimentary tools, a mover is a piece of cake to fit yourself. Personally, I'd rather buy the mover and if I wasn't fit enough to fit it myself, give a friend who needs the money a few quid to do it. You can save some money and do someone a favour.

We have a Reich mover fitted to our caravan and we are very pleased with it, had it for two years now and works as good as new still, changed the hand set batteries last weekend for the first time since we had it installed, and that means about 36 uses, you do need quite a good leisure battery though, we have got a 110amp fitted to give us plenty of power to get up our driveway incline.

Does the mover need to be included in the weight?
We are post 1997 licence holders and within 50kgs of our 3500 maximum limit. We never use anywhere near the limit for for th user load of 270kg, can some of this be used for the mover? Or how much do they weigh?
Thanks

I wouldn't be given one. I can't push or pull the caravan either. In fact I can hardly walk these days. However, we certainly don't need to do that. I would no longer have the burglar magnet at home, following advice from the police. Any site where things are so tight would be a place to avoid for me. We go caravanning for fields and wide open spaces.
If you want one get one. No problem.
We certainly don't find one essential, and I just wouldn't drag all that extra weight around. Payload is precious.

Hi Gailk, Yes the mover will add weight to your van, about 35kg, just means you take the weight of the mover off the pay load you put in van. So if you can load 270kg at present, with mover fitted you can only load 235kg. hope that’s of help.

Movers seem expensive ..anyone came up with a FAR cheaper electric alternative ? after all all it is , is a 12v motor ..likely a tenner ?
any ideas ? i could be doing with one to save it being a 3 man job to get my old caravan up the driveway .. the caravans worth about £600 , seems crazy to spend same on mover
